Nothing to get "Petrified" over!

Petrified Forest, near Canyon de Chelly, Arizona, straddles I-40. It is kind of bleak and barren. There are all these petrified trees lying all over the landscape. My son was not quite three at the time we visited there. I put this picture in to embarrass him! (Now that he's 22!) He thought they were neat and climbed on several, although one is not supposed to touch them! Not the most exciting place I've visited but is very interesting to see and realize that there was a vast forest in this area many millions of years ago!
