Playa Uverito - Las Tablas

Playa Uverito

Playa Uverito

Playa Uverito means "little grape beach" in Spanish, don't know how the beach got it's name, as there are no vineyards nearby.
Playa Uverito is about seven miles almost due east from Las Tablas. Just follow the signs. There is a cantina there and Rincon del Faro restaurant and La Luna Hotel.
The cantina is typical Panamanian, has local beer and some local food. Rincon del Faro is more upscale, but not expensive, see my seperate review of that restaurant. One can also hang out at Rincon del Faro, they have a pool and beach tables to sit and pass the day. They don't charge anything to use the facilities, but they expect you to purchase beverages, at least.
Not much else there, some interesting beach houses, there is a new hotel there, La Luna, it is just before one gets to Rincon del Faro on the inland side of the road. (Right side as one is going to Rincon del Faro).

Address: Playa Uverita

Directions: East of Las Tablas on the Gulf of Panama.

Internet Fulo - Las Tablas

Internet Fulo

Fulo Internet

Just down the street from Pan Caliente,
On Calle 8 de Noviembre between Calle 3 de Noviembre and Ave. Belisario Porras.
Cute little place that has 6 internet stations. A bit cramped, but they work well. Double Click, which is up the street and beyond the square in a fancy new office building, is more roomy and posh, but I often have problems with their equipment, this place is more reliable, albeit more bohemian. The guy who runs it likes to play video games at the control desk and he REALLY gets into it! If you don’t mind a lively place to check your e-mails and whatnot, this is it! Lots of the local gringos use it besides me. Only thing is, the guy who runs this place doesn’t speak English, so if you don’t know Spanish you have to use sign language with him, but he is friendly and helpful.
They also sell blank CDs if you run out of space on your camera and want to upload and burn them to free that precious disk or HD space or you just have to send mom some pics of your trip before you head home!

Address: Less than one block from Parque Porras
