Salzburg is definitely one of my favourite things! It's small enough that you can walk just about everywhere, it's cleaner than Vienna (doggy droppings must be scooped) and there's a ton of stuff to do in a small area.

The tours that you can take are fantastic! Spend the money - they're worth it!

Okay, so I snapped off this photo of Mozart's father. Put my camera down and one of the Mozart Museum workers came around the corner and said "No Photographs allowed."
Oops - sorry we're Canadian - we're allowed to take photographs in museums at home.

Anyway here's my illegal pic of Mozarts father. The original painting, which I highly doubt is original as it is situated right next to a window without any UV protection - is located as you first walk into Mozarts apartment and on the right hand side of the door way into the next room.

A charming hotel and not too costly! It's within walking distance of the train station and Mozart's birth place as well as the stop where you can purchase a ticket for all the bus tours.
The staff is phenominally accomindating. They were very helpful.
I give this place a ten out of ten!
