Aimless wandering is highly recomended in Brussels. We had Brussels as a base for our trip to werchter, amsterdam and luxemburg. But the city was worth the trip itself.
Wine an evening at the main square. Huge portions of pasta in a local resturant, an hotell owner giving us "our usual room".
