Basilea-Beach

Dreamland (thats realy the name of this place)
On my homepage I d like to show you where I actually live.Nope, the pic above represents the place where I d like to live. At the beach. But I dont. I do live in Basel, the 3th biggest City in Switzerland.
I was born and raised up in Lucerne (which you ll also find somewhere on my page) but now I m living and doing my master degree in Basel. My heart is still in Lucerne though. But meanwhile I do like Basel also. Mainly because its quite a city, while Lucerne is just a big (but veeery beautyful) village.

As I told you I am studiing and therefore I am luckily able to travel a lot. My b most beloved destination is whitout a question Brasil. But I do also like south-east Asia. My next travel destination will be down there somwhere (again) or in central America.
the townhouse

Basilea

ok, basel. let me tell you sth about it.
in the historical part of the city youll find the old townhouse, which is very colorful and reminds to the rich culture in basel. there are also carneval-sujets on the house. the goverment of basel is still working in it. nevertheless you can visit it without problem during the day (without security-check) and be stunned by the many details on this building
the messe turm

nice basel

basel is situated in north-west swizerland and has a common frontier with france and germany. this makes basel a very special place.

in the marvellos old-town is beside the cuire a nice minster and other nice places. in basel there is also switzerland hihest building, whose height must be quite ridicolous to most of you, because it has just 31 stages. well you have to see it from the positive sight. the swiss dont likes posing skylines, thats the classical swiss understatement and the other thing is, that for example my hometown luzern has a skyline, formed by mount pilatus who is higher and quite more impressing (and durable :-) than others. you ll see the pilatus on my lucerne page
novartis, industry area

novartis & co.

Basel, the one real city in switzerland (zurich is said to be also one, but looks like a village when you go a bit outside the centre) is the place where i am doing my studies.

basel is there where the bigbig drug-producers novartis and roche are situated and has therefor some ugly industry-barrios.
part of the university-hospital

herzog & deMeuron

the worls famous architects herzog and deMeuron (they built for example the prada-mainbase in asia or this cucumber-building in london city) are residents of basel. in no other swiss town youll find such a lot of architectural pearls than in basel.
marktplatz

christmas

in christmas time, basel tries to become a paradies for shoppers and people who like cristmas markets. the market at the barfüsserplace is quite a nice place to watch out for some christmas-presents. while the rest of the city also is ful of lights.
