"The mad dragon can fly!!" maddragon's Profile

Bangkok, Amman, Dubai

BIG HELLO to everyone on VT. It's nice to be one of you guys, because we all love traveling and see things, right? Well, let me introduce myself first. My name is Tanintorn. It's a Thai name. If you think it's difficult for you, you can call me Mami.
I'm from Thailand, but I've been living outside the country for 6 years and a half now. The first four and a half years, I was living in Amman, Jordan. I was working with the local airlines there as a cabin crew. And now, I've been in Dubai for almost 2 years, well, again, I work as a cabin crew with the local airlines, and mmmm it's one of the best airlines too hehehe.
When i was living in Jordan, I had visited India so many times. and to be honest with you, I found myself loving shopping there. I made a trip once to Taj Mahal and the Akra Fort. It's such a beautiful country and there're so much to see. I went to U.S.A. so many times too, but my favourtie is Washington DC. But do you know where was my favourite place of getting away. mmmm it was the Dead Sea, and Petra.
Since Jordan is not a very big country, so everywhere you wanna go, it will take you just 4 hrs maximum to the border. The Dead Sea is just 30 mins away from west Amman. Whenever I felt like going there, i just, packed and went there.(even after partying the whole night) And I also loved to go to Petra. It's a very beautiful ancient city, full of stories and tales. It's worth to walk the whole day. ( I was there twice, and thinking about going there again.)
Now, let's talk about nowadays part. Taadaa!!! Living in Dubai. Dubai is the center of everythings - business, people, cultures mmm you can name it. Lots of shopping malls. The most famous event here is the Dubai Shopping Festival. I've been to the desert safari with my friends. It's a half day tour. We hopped into the big 4-wheel-drive car and it took us up and down along the dunes during the sun set. wow! it was beautiful and in the same time, it was shocking. Because we thought we might falled out of the car. Then the driver took us to the camp. I had a free camel ride (but i was up there just less than 5 mins, 'cuz i was a chicken!), dinner, belly dancing( u can join them too), and the body henna for ladies.
For the party animals, not me, will love Dubai, I'm sure. Most of the hotels here have their own pubs and disco. The night live here will be ended at 3:00 am (by government), but if you are lucky to get to know few people in the pub who loves to extend their night to noon, well, there's no harms, unless you disturb the neighbors.
Oh! in summer is very hot here. it can reach 50 C, but everywhere you go, it's equiped by the a/c. And I always carry my jumper to the shopping mall during noon, because it's so cold inside. And the winter here is so nice, you know, not too cold like in Europe. So it's a good time to go on the beach.
Lots of people always think of Dubai is like - men and women wearing arab traditional dresses, covering themselves from top to toe. But, let me tell you what... you can wear whatever you want if you think you're comfortable and people around you're comfortable. If you're walking in the shopping mall, you can wear light clothes, sleevless, short, short skirts, but not too open please. And the most important thing is if you visit the mosque, please cover up yourself as much as you can to respect the place.
Ok, so... i hope to hear from you, you or you soon. Now it's time for this mad dragon to spread the wings and fly again. I try to put lots of photos of the places I've been, and also my face on the VT soon. I'm not very good with the computer though, so it will take some time, 'cuz i gotta ask my friends how to do it. If you would like to know anything else about Thailand, Jordan, and Dubai please feel free to contact me. It's my pleasure!!!
