Zelo's Beach House: "In a land called Hanalei"

The food and atmosphere here are both great! Although, don't let the name fool you, it is not near a beach. It is located in the town of Hanalei (you know, puff the magic dragon!) They have a very nice variety on their menu and large portions. Very tasty!

Favorite Dish: I love their beer battered fish and chips! Served nice and hot, and very yummy! Also their coconut shrimp is not to be passed up! For dessert I like the Chocolate Suicide Cake. It is very good. (Not as good as hula pie, but very good).

Tip Top Cafe: "Delicious and Very Affordable"

This is a wonderful place to stop and get breakfast! Very affordable with awesome coffe and outstanding macadamia nut and pineapple or macadamia nut and banana pancakes! Yummy! They are large, light, fluffy, and filling! It has the look and feel of an old time diner. They are even nice enough to give us a final cup of coffee to go when we are ready to leave. Doesn't get much better than that!

Favorite Dish: When you can coax them into making you the pancakes with pineapple, banana, and macadamia nuts! Oh my! Out of this world!
And the coffee, must not forget their great coffee!

Brick Oven Pizza: "Brok' the mouf" ~ "Delicious"

"The best pizza you will ever put in your mouth!" Not only the best on the island, but the best I have ever tasted anywhere! We get their pizza for lunch at least two times for every visit we go to Kauai. You can choose from a white or a whole wheat crust that is brushed with garlic butter. Their sauce, dough, and sausage are all house made. Absolutely yummy! The owners are wonderful and the service exceptional! This is a family run restaurant and is very comfy to dine in. You will find license plates from all over adorning the rafters of the restaurant. These are from customers that mail them, or bring them to the owners to proudly hang! We have 3 their ourselves from 3 states we have lived in! Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana!

Favorite Dish: We always get a hawaiian style pizza with the whole wheat crust. Pinapple, ham, and sweet onion! Makes me want to go there for a pizza just thinking about it!

Kukui's: "Open Air Dining"

This open restaurant is very nice. They have off the menu, as well as buffet style dinners, and breakfasts. For lunch everything is off the menu. All of their food is nicely prepared and very tasty. It is located at the Kaui Marriott Beach Club and Resort, and is situated behind the property by the pool and ocean. Very beautiful views and gentle breezes in the evening!

Favorite Dish: Absolutely love their breakfast and dinner buffets. Crab legs and lobster are great as well as the prime rib! Very tasty! Vast amounts of foods to choose from, all fresh and delicious. Large variety of fresh desserts as well!

Duke's: Awesome Seafood, Beautiful View!

Wonderful food, nice variety! Seafood, steak, chicken, all awesome! Best salad bar on the island. Drinks are great and the Hula Pie is out of this world! It is A huge slice of macadamia nut icecream in a cookie crust topped with hot fudge, macadamia nuts, and whipped cream! Atmosphere is very romantic, with great views! They also have a barefoot bar below with some great tables by an indoor waterfall!

Favorite Dish: My favorite is the Grilled Ahi! And for dessert, doesn't get any better than Hula Pie!
