Stratford-upon-Avon is located in the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon. The atmosphere of the town and surrounding countryside here in the Heart of England is warm and welcoming. The streets are lined with beautiful buildings of amazing architecture and design. You will find numerous shops, restaurants, bakeries, and other businesses throughout this beautiful town, as you make your way to the historical sites that are woven in with it all. This is definately a destination that should not be missed while visiting England.

Stratford-Upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare. He was born in this house in April of 1564 and it is the most visited of the Shakespearian Properties.

The second favorite Shakespearian property is the Anne Hathaway House. Before marrying William Shakespeare in 1582, Anne Hathaway lived in what is well known as one of England's most famous buildings. Part of the building dates from the mid-fifteenth century, and some of the furniture belonged to the Hathaways and their descendants. The garden is beautiful and a must see as well.
