"The Far North of My World" Rovaniemi by ahoerner

Rovaniemi was on my mind since I was a kid and used to play a game about travels with my cousins. Since then I decided I would visit the town if the opportunity comes. And it really came.

When I began planning my european tour, I have already decided to include Finland among my destinations. And I can say I have no regret of have done so.

I arrived in Rovaniemi by plane on beginning of Sept. and the view you have from above is breathtaking: the neverending pine forest at that part of the world is huge...

Visit the Arcticum, take a walk on the calm town, watch the finns go and come... spend your good travelling time... also take a look at Santa Claus Village - which is kind of turistic than interesting. But you never know if you meet Santa there anyway...worth a try.
