Bali, the island paradise in Indonesia is blessed with such natural beauty that its impossible to describe it in words. Be it the blue waters or the lush green paddy fields or the milky white beach sands, Bali seems to have everything. Without a doubt, the best feature of Bali is the hospitality of the people, the Balinese. Inspite of an misguided attempt by some lunatics to destroy the fabric of Bali a couple of years ago, Bali remains a favorite spot for vacationers and revellers. The Balinese people go an extra mile to make everyone's stay a very pleasant one and this is seen by the pleasant attitude of everyone. |
Arrival and departure from Bali Bali is a very vibrant island and is also one of the largest provinces in Indonesia. The international airport is at Denpasar which is a few kilometers from most of the tourist locations. As the plane approaches the airport for landing, you could see the bluish waters of the ocean underneath as the runway runs along the waters. Majority of the people who come to Bali arrive at the Denpasar (Ngurah Rai) International airport. Most visitors to Bali need a visa to enter and this can be actually obtained on arrival for most western nationals. There is also a departure fee of 100000 rupiah (around $11) when leaving Bali. |
