Born to travel !!!

by GK2005 - last update: Sep 20, 2005

Hello all, I am glad to have found this site and share my knowledge of the places that I have visited with anyone who is interested in visiting those places.

I am a big fan of traveling to those places that are a bit hard to reach. My dream is to visit Antarctic one day and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the nature there. I plan my travel during winter mostly so that I can avoid the crowds. Besides, nature is at its best during winter and it gives any place a big uplift. I still remember my walks on the streets of Interlaken in the peak of winter watching the snow covered mountains and the clouds that hugged them.
Travel is a dream for many, passion for some and an obsession for a few. I am not sure which group I belong to. Well, maybe a bit of all the three. The idea of traveling is not only to see newer places, but also to meet people from different walks of life, understand different cultures and broaden one's worldly knowledge.

One of life's lesson is to make use of the opportunity when it knocks at your door and not postpone it thinking there would be a better time in the future. Looking back at my own travels, I am very glad that I DID take those opportunities and didnt wait hoping for a better time in the future. The memories from the experiences of my visit to various places is worth much much more than what I could have saved. So, if you are looking to make a decision on that long awaited trip, go for it. You dont have to splurge in order to have a good time. The memories you gather will stay with you forever.

I am more than happy to provide any information that I might have about the places that I have been fortunate enough to visit and so please feel free to send me emails with any questions.

Happy travels to all !!
