Honolulu Hotel Tips by cmk7387

Hello;
Just got back from 2 weeks in Hawaii, 6 nights at the HHV on Waikiki (2/12/04 - 2/16/04) ; another 5 nights at the Westin Maui. Used hotel points for each stay.
My tip for all you Hilton Honors members is to ask for the Kalia Tower with Executive Club access. We bought 2 meals the entire week we were there. The food they put out is more than sufficient ; soft drinks are free. Market rate on beer and wine. The staff there were wonderful and very helpful. The room we had was good size and modern as this tower was just built 2 years ago. Not a great view from our room, but the view from the Executive Lounge made up for that.
Another suggestion; before I would book activities at the hotel; look into the consolidators ; I think we used one called Affordable Tours near the International Market to book our Grand Circle Tour of the island.. We paid about $20 each for a Roberts Hawaiian tour that advertised for $60 each. Use your bus pass (purchased at ABC stores which are in HHV) to get there.
Enjoyed the HHV; but there are lots of people, all the time, and lots of kids everywhere.
