I had a layover of 13 hours in Prague International Airport while waiting to fly home to Ireland so I jumped on a bus to the city centre about 30 minutes and went exploring it for 12 or so hours. For the previous 6 weeks of my travels I had been shooting colour images but the moment I got off the airport bus I knew that I would shoot the city in B&W.
The city itself is served by nearly all the capitals in Europe by both National, Low fares and charter airlines making it one of the most accessible and desirable city in the EU. |
| | The city or at least the most interesting parts are contained within a compact zone and thus one can easily cover it on foot at your own pace. I found 12 hours ample time to view most of the city except for the museums etc. |
| | It certainly is a picturesque city and reminds me of Paris. Even though I visited in early April I ended up just wearing a t-shirt for the most part. It has a all year round tourist season and attracts many weekend booze trips from mainland Europe something that I’m sure the tourist board did not envisage Prague to become well know for. |
