Ichon is a small city by Korean standards. Its about 60 km south of Seoul and is best know for the OB brewery and Hynix Semiconductor fabs located there. It also proclaims itself to be the center of Asian Pottery and Ceramics. The World Ceramics Expo is located there. I found it to be a bustling town with numerous restaurants, most of them Korean of course. English is not too widely spoken outside of the areas largest hotel, Hotel Miranda. If your used to Itaewon you're in for a cultural shock. Best to bone up on a few Korean phrases before you get here. Movie houses (with some filmsshowing in English), pool halls and bowling alleys are here but not conspicuous.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Lot's of restaurtants. Good street cart Dim-Sum
Cons:A bit remote. Limited nightlife.
In a nutshell:If your here to work, put in lots of overtime.

Hi Edward, I heard from my colleague that hotel in Seoul is a bit expensive, is that true? Will that be easy to find youth hotel?
