A great base for a visit to Central Scotland

Dunblane is a great place to visit and/or stay if you are touring around Central Scotland. It has good transport links by both road and rail and is only 45 minutes' drive from both GLA and EDI airports.

As well as the Cathedral and other historical attractions in the town itself, within a 20-minute drive are Callander and the Trossachs National Park, the historic city of Stirling with the castle, National Wallace Monument and Bannockburn battlefield, the Falkirk Wheel.
There are many more great places to visit within an hour's driving time, including distilleries, Highland walking country, St. Andrews, Bo'ness steam railway and many top quality golf courses.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Great location, scenic, historic, good base for travel
  • Cons:A few too many new houses recently!
  • In a nutshell:Historic town, lots to see and do around it
