In May 2002, I had too much time on my hand and a jones to hit the beach, so I called Suntrips and booked a trip to Cancun. I had never taken a trip with Suntrips before, and had never been to Cancun, and I had my apprehensions. But from beginning to end my entire trip went smoothly and with any unexpected hassels. I arrived early Monday morning and left Friday afternoon, so it was a nice long 5 days/4 nights. I stayed at the Blue Bay Getaway, which as I discovered later, was more or less a couples resort. But I met a lot of great people and had a wonderful time!
My next trip to Cancun was in February 2003. I stayed at the Sheraton Towers for 2 nights and it was quite an adventure - -very different from my first trip.
No matter what your plans are during the day, when you stay at an all inclusive resort, the temptation to have a drink earlier than you normally would is pretty great. And swim-up bars are pretty tempting. most folks had a "wait until noon" motto that sounded pretty good to me! lol
- Pros:Great Beaches, Water and weather.
- Cons:Very touristy. Not the real Mexico, imho.
- In a nutshell:Beaches and nightlife, baby!

Never saw a swim up bar before! that looks like fun!
Hi Steve ,how are you ,I had to check out your Cancun page .Great pictures Lori & Hansi are going in January to cancun and yes we are going to have a few drinks ,hey we payed for them allready hehehe
Great photos. I'll be in Cancun a couple nights at the Westin, then off to see C.Itza, Cenotes, Merida & Progesso, etc. Your pics make me eager to experience the Caribbean. This will be my 1st trip to MX.
I stayed at the Sheraton too! But there are better places to stay, I later found out... Margaritas is the best ever here! I'll return just for that!
