Hotel Mar de Cortez: Great Budget Hotel Hotel Mar de Cortez Review

The Mar De Cortez is a colonial style hotel located in downtown Cabo about a half block from Cabo Wabo. It's one of the 3 original hotels on Cabo. I've stayed here on 4 seperate occasions, and each time it's been great. This is a hotel that caters mostly to fishermen, but the great location and excellent prices for what you get make it perfect for anyone. Most of their clientele are repeat customers.

First off the staff is extremely friendly. I had 4 years between my first and second trip, and they still remembered me!

This hotel has been owned by the same family for the last 30 years, and many of the employees have been there for years and years.

Their in-house restaurant -- Spencers -- is outstanding, and I would go there to eat even if I wasn't staying there.

Unique Qualities: Charming Colonial-style building, friendly staff and great prices -- truely an incredible value!

Bahia Condo Hotel: Right next to the beach Hotel Bahia Review

We stayed here as part of the Sun Trips package tour we took. The rooms were pretty decent and the view of Los Arcos (The Arches) was very nice. The problem was that the pool was closed during our visit, and what's a visit to a beach resort without a swim-up bar??? The staff was helpful and the restaurant was ok, though we only ate there once. Being so close to Medano Beach, it wouldn't make sense to eat breakfast anywhere else than The Office, which is a 2 minute walk down the path to the beach.

Unique Qualities: Location to the beach and the view of the arch.
