Dublin in October

by Ines28 - last update: Oct 12, 2004

The Ha'penny Bridge
To travel to Dublin in October might not be the best choice, it is quite cold and windy (though I guess it might always be windy as it is near the coastline), but at least it did not rain during our week-end trip. That's not too bad for Ireland!
Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland, is a beautiful city with many sights and even more pubs! It can be explored on foot as most of the sights are not far away from each other, as well as the pedestrian zones and the main pub area.
Although it is expensive, it is definitely worth a trip, but it would perhaps be advisable to go in July next time!! ;-)

Pros:"many nice pubs, parks and buildings, Guinness!"
Cons:"expensive, weather?!"
In A Nutshell:"A city with a very long history"

Oh this is great Ines, the hotel seems like good value. However paying to go into a church I do not agree with, making a donation yes, but charging is a definite no no in my book. Some good informative updates here
