Nice resort with beautiful aircon rooms and other Ko Tao, Thailand Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

The Coral Grand Resort offers a choice of rooms for every budget; comfortable bungalows at the beach or pool with air conditioning and cheaper rooms without aircon. The bungalows are beautifully furnished and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and the food is great but inexpensive. Breakfast was also good.

Unique Qualities: The resort has a pool which is unusual on Ko Tao because it is not necessary, but it can be useful for divers practising before going to the dive sites. The restaurant is directly at the beach and as the resort is located at the end of Sairee beach the surrounding hills offer great views.

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel in 2002. It is situated at the southern end of Hat Sai Ree and has bungalows of different sizes and comfort, fan or air-conditioning, bungalows for 2 or for the whole family. The service is good as well as breakfast, the restaurant offers good seafood, though a bit expensive.
Initially we planned to stay there this time too, but they were booked out. As the bungalows are situated in the hills and because every bungalow has a separate access, there is much privacy.

Unique Qualities: The huts offer great views over Mae Haad and Hat Sairee and have a large terrace with comfortable chairs. Every morning we got a free newspaper, the rooms are very clean and beautifully furnished, the bathroom is spacious and half open. The breakfast area is situated directly at the beach and you watch the small fish in the crystal clear water.
Also there is great snorkelling as a ship's wreck is lying directly in the water in front of the hotel.
