Hittin' the road

Bonn Bonn

mit Explorers booze drinkers
Ive momentarily left VT and should be back in the next ten years...
The truth is I got no time for my pages, I got a life to cope with, articles to write, applications to fill in, my novel to finish, books to read, exams to take, girls to know, countries to visit, and Frank Zappa to listen to. Well, among other things.

Back in my younger days I was a good boy and didnt venture away from my home country. Then my life changed in 2002, when I discovered backpacks and gingercake.

I am now in Bonn, working for the Deutsche Welle (the German Wave), both for the French and the English newsrooms. My new German friends are so wicked. They went as far a to weep with me at the end of the Zinedine "headbutt" Zidane vs Italy final (poor Trezeguet).

It is time now to earn some money and travel on.
French patisseriiiiiiiiiiiiie

Oomph

I am dangerously French, I like camembert and walks in the mountains.
I started travelling at the age of 19 (so I cant say "Oh, I've been an expert in travels from the age of 2 / 3 / 4 / 5" or whatever). I am a big fan of Northern Europe, but I'm getting better at the moment and I'm at last trying Southern countries (insofar as Milan can be called a "city from the South" of course). What I like the most is:
- watching the sun set in Bod?
- nightclubbing with student friends, preferably away from home and further north
- drinking vodka
- writing weird novels
- eating human brains
- making travel plans
- changing career
- getting pissed and eat at other people's (in that order)
- reading weird stories about things that never happened
- watching films about travel, violence and rock'n' roll
- listening to scary music
- going back to Nottingham
- eating "The King" kebabs
- receiving repayments from the Taxes
- waking up and realising I'm somewhere else
- waking up and realising there is a lovely Welsh girl on my left side
- going to John mac Byrne's with friends
- writing in newspapers
- tidying up my room
- chatting up Swedish girls
- taking the train in Lapland
- eating ice-creams and desserts in general
- making plans for my future & eventual domination of the world.
My life looks just like that

Eeeek

As a child I used to draw some comic strips about a bloke travelling around the world (God knows how he did that by the way). An omen maybe? Then teenage days came and after countryside high school plus two years more I decided I was sick of my hometown and bought a rucksack.

VT is nice even though I would readily suppress this crappy rating system once and for all.
I log on VT on an on-and-off basis, which means that I have built a few pages and others just wont come to light ever. Depends on how I feel and if work calms down a bit you know.

I am into the publishing stuff as well, meaning I write poems, theaterplays and have just started my third novel, hopefully it'll be finished before September and I quite like as it's quite fun and absurd.
Germany here I come

Glurg

I have been to North America but by far my favorite destination is Europe. I had a soft spot for Northern Europe for ages, in fact until I went to visit some of my friends in Seville one month ago. Now I feel I like about every place in Western and Northern Europe, so at the moment I am trying to become a European journalist. I love travel so much Id love to make a life out of it, but apparently what I enjoy the most is the social aspect of it.

Unfortunately money is sparse, girlfriends moan and work is calling. What a tragic life that is (shed tears here).
