Canada Day is celebrated on July 1st. This year marked the 137th Birthday of this great nation. I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in the celebrations this year. |
| | Petawawa, Ontario, Canada I spent Canada Day in Petawawa, Ontario where I lived for 4 years. Everyone knows everyone (or so it seems). Population is 15,500. Everyone gets together in the same area on Canada Day; this year it was at the Cat Walk; a popular beach area. Everything is free that day, including food, rides, activities. Then we celebrate in the evening with fireworks, music, & live band. |
| | Residents of Petawawa Now, here is a great man. His name is Bill Ramsey and he deserves a mention. He sits on the Town Council and has done more then most for the town of Petawawa. He is in his late 70's; we worked together for 4 years making the community a safer place to live in. Read his t-shirt: it says - Celebrating Canada Day !! |
