A Kracking place for Euromeet!

When Krakow was announced as the city for 2010s VT Euromeet, I was looking forward to it- I hadn't been there (or anywhere in Poland for that matter), and I'd have a year to prepare - learn some of the language, research the country. (Hmmmmm!) I'm ashamed to say, that I did very little of either. Working late/Decorating/ Catching up on VT/Facebook etc etc were my excuses.
So how Mattcrazy1 managed to do a demanding job, AND put in the many hours planning and organising Euromeet, keeping us all informed as to developments, changes etc. negotiating deals on restaurants and accommodation, planning transport and excursions etc, and the not straightforward purchasing train tickets for our Lviv trip is mind boggling!!

Could we accept it? Of course we could!

Altogether I had 5 nights in Krakow - 4 for Euromeet, then one night after our Lviv trip. Like Euromeet last year in Lisbon, I don't feel that I really got to know these cities, but I had a taster, and will hopefully return one day to visit the places that I missed, and re-visit the places that I rushed through /missed things.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Charming, photogenic, atmospheric city that pulls at your senses and emotions
Cons:Popular with Stag and Hen parties - 'The New Prague'
In a nutshell:Majestic city, where its historical past is remembered.
