Jesenik

Following Euromeet 2010 in Krakow, Poland and then Lviv, Ukraine, SueT, poons Gillybob and myself spent a few more days on a road trip.

After visiting Southern Poland we crossed the border into Slovakia, where we spent a night in Zilina, before crossing the border into the Czech Republic. We spent one night in Jesenik, before returning to Poland (Wroclaw)

The Spa town of Jesenik is located in the heart of the Jeseníky Mountains, (620 meters above sea level) so is surrounded by some stunning scenery.
Visitors come to enjoy the mountain air, and the Spa Waters.

Pros:A good base for exploring the region
Cons:Appears to 'close down' early.

Sue. I stayed nearby in Olomouc. I loved the slower pace compared to tourist madness in prague:) regards from Maryland

It is hard finding info on some of these towns in the Czech Republic! Sounds like the Hotel was a good find!
