I'd not been to Bristol until I started my present job, and had to attend meetings/training sessions here. It's a city that I feel very at home in. The people are so friendly, and there's a great atmosphere to the place!
I'd become quite familiar with the area around Whiteladies Road and Clifton, but was hoping to get to see more of the sights of Bristol. When the opportunity arose for me to spend a bit of extra time here, I jumped at the chance. I checked out of my plush (expenses paid!) accommodation, and moved into the more basic, cheaper and more centrally located room for the night at the Bristol Backpackers hostel!
Well, for a day and a half, I then got to see as much as Bristol (and Bath) as I could. I was surprised to see that Bristol had such historic buildings, and monuments, such as St Johns Gate etc. Can't wait for my next visit! |
