Throughout the world, there are many Newcastles, this is the only Newcastle-Upon- Tyne, although it is usually referred to as Newcastle.

Newcastle sits on the Northern banks of the Tyne Gorge, separated from its smaller sister Gateshead by the River Tyne.
Straddling the banks of the river, linking Newcastle and Gateshead are 10 bridges, the most iconic being the Tyne Bridge, which is sandwiched between the Swing Bridge and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.

The Tyne Bridge is probably Newcastles most famous landmark. It features on the Newcastle Brown (Broon) Ales logo.
