Tamanaco Intercontinental: Older Grand Hotel InterContinental Tamanaco Caracas Review

I stayed two nights on the weekend at a bargain rate. The room was rather small and worn. The rest of the hotel gives you an idea of finer times the hotel had-wide spacious lobby, sitting areas, marble floors, etc. Has all the facilites you would expect at a deluxe hotel. Room service was prompt, food good, the small menu available 24/7 if you really need a snack. Had a buffet breakfast (very large selection) but beware of food siting out on display all morning. Very nice omelette bar-made to order eggs. Plenty of parking (basically walking anywhere is a no payoff-nothing around the hotel/ have to walk up and down a long hill to get to the boulevard). Nice place to break yourself in as starting point for Caracas at the bargain rate I had received. Otherwise, better deluxe hotels for the rate-with better location to things-like restaurants, attractions, perhaps the airport, other.

Unique Qualities: Breakfast buffet, room service (nice-small helpings of local cuisine), and courteous staff.
