    • This was a wonderful place to stay because of it's location which provided access to all the known beaches as well as the relatively private beach at the base of the hotel that is shared with local cariocas and tourists. This is the only beachfront hotel in Rio that is actually ON the beach. (All others in Impanema and Copacabana are across the main roads from the beaches -- and crowded.)

    The calm waters protected by the peninsula provided a relaxing place for a swim in clear waters.

    The buffet breakfast was unmatchable and offered comfort foods as well as local tastes.

    Unique Qualities: Rooms on the west side have this view of the hillside, flavelas, local beach homes, and on a special day, a beautiful rainbow stretching over the Atlantic ocean.
