Guggenheim or El Guggi Guggenheim Museum & Puppy Review

Wow wow wow!! This is definitely a must see activity. The architecture of this titanium (!!!) building is great as well is the modern art that is in it. When we were there (june 2004) there was an exhibition of James Rosenquist with pop art. There also was an exhibition of Mark Rothko, but I didn't understand what is so amazing about two coloured areas.

The museum has a real nice little brochure with information about the architecture of the building. The architect Frank O. Gehry has done a magnificant job, that's for sure! Can you imagine what he said to the city of Bilbao and to the Guggenheim foundation: "You know what, I've got an idea, let's use titanium". That's so great! I bought a book about the architecture of the Guggenheim with real nice pix for only 20 euros in the souvenir shop.

One thing I hated? It is forbidden to take picturesinside the Guggenheim, not even from the building inside. Why why why can't I take a picture from a building? Haven't got a clue...

Nice square to sit down and relax over some txakoli wine and pintxos. Txakoli is a Basque fresh white wine and pintxos are some sort of Basque tapas. They are the best of Spain. MMMM
