Jinja is a small town with a huge Indian Influence located not only on the River Nile but at the source of the Nile.
As you drive into town from Kampala direction the first sign of water you will see in the huge dam that has been constructed here.

The Town offers services for the traveller, internet, grocery store and other small shops and market stands.

I stayed at Nile River Explorers - there are 2, one right in Jinja and the other a short, bumpy motorcycle ride outside of town at Bujagali Falls.
I stayed out at Bujagali Falls.
