Miscellaneous: My trip to paris was assisted with as always a couple of guidebooks - the best one I used was from "Rough Guides" a small book called Directions Paris. This was very detailed and helpful.

Luggage And Bags: A daypack will be useful for carrying guidebooks, cameras etc, try and bring a bag that you can wear on your front or over your shoulder.....basically so that you have you eye on it at all times...esp on the metro!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: We visited in August and although the weather was warm it lashed rain! So I reccommend either a light rain coat and/or an umberella!
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: You can buy most things in such a big cosmopolitan city like Paris!
Photo Equipment: A good camera - pref with zoom....those buildings have so much detail.
Miscellaneous: Along with the other guidebook I already mentioned which had really good maps in it, I also used the AA guide to Paris.

Bilou Wed Feb 6, 2008 14:29 UTC sorry, wrong message | astraltraveller Tue Sep 26, 2006 14:48 UTC Wife and I just back from Paris. These guys are a menace! We were approached twice on the steps from SC. Guy grabbed my wrist and I jerked my arm away. We ended up going all sorts of circuitous routes to avoid them. Where are the cops? | Nemorino Tue Jul 4, 2006 19:26 UTC Glad you enjoyed your visits to Paris, in spite of various mishaps. | Inguuna Sun Jan 16, 2005 13:27 UTC Hey, you have very interesting pages about Paris and that warning tip was very helpful. |
