This church is in the Les Halles area of Paris, the church was built between 1532 and 1637.
It is Gothic and the inside boasts Renaisssance decoration.
We did not go inside the church but the outside was just stunning.

I am led to believe that this is the above the building - should anyone know any different please let me know!
None the less it is a striking building located at one end of the Jardin des Halles.

This is one of my favourite parts of Paris, I loved walking down the main street with the locals, buying cheese and meats, bread and wine all on display from their shops lining the street - amazing experience!
The Les Halles was actually the main food hall in Paris for 800 years, in 1969 in was moved to the suburbs, and this place now is a huge shopping centre.

This bridge is the oldest bridge across the Seine in Paris, built in 1607, it was the first bridge here to be made of stone and spans through Ile De La Cite across both banks of the river.

This is an amazing building, it is Paris's oldest prison and is where Marie Anotoinette were held before her execution during the French revoloution.
Her cell has been reconstructed as it was for you to see, the rooms here are spectacular.

For me this was the most spectacular building that I visited in Paris.
The stained glass windows are just amazing, and each one depicts a story from the Holy Bible, right from the beginning round to the apocalypse.
The work that must have gone into this chapel is just outstanding.

These are amazing buildings set on the Ile De Cite, the Sainte Chapelle and Conciergerie form part of the Palais Du Justice Complex.

Does this building really need any introduction?!
If you are brave enough you can climb the towers (I was not brave enough).
This is a working church and there was a service going on whilst we were here.

The facade is outstanding, I actually preffered this to the interior!
The frieze of Old Testament Kings is very famous and very impressive.

The Palais De Chaillot stands just across the river from the Eiffel Tower in the Trocadero area of Paris.
It is home to the Citie de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine and the Musee de l'Homme and the Musee de la Marine.

Wife and I just back from Paris. These guys are a menace! We were approached twice on the steps from SC. Guy grabbed my wrist and I jerked my arm away. We ended up going all sorts of circuitous routes to avoid them. Where are the cops? | Nemorino Tue Jul 4, 2006 19:26 UTC
