I've been to Nürnberg several times, it was the first big German town I visited in my life, and from that day it still is my favourite one, I don't know why, but I've always been very attracted by its medieval feeling.
Nürnberg was destroyed at 90% during WWII, so what you can see there now it's 90% rebuilt in these last 60 years. Nürnberg was the symbol of nazi power, but itself was one of the cities where nazis were less appreciated. Now it's a very friendly University town, with lots of young people, a wonderful old town (rebuilt, but still nice!) and of course great beer! :) |
