When I left Italy for my trip to the Baltic I wanted to spend about 1 day in Kaunas. Then I spent 1 day in Vilnius, half in Trakai and I was almost taking a bus to Kaunas when I discovered there were no hostels there, and, apparently, no cheap hotels...so I stayed in Vilnius one more night, and had just half a day, the following one, to spend here in the 2nd Lithuanian town... oh the people form there don't like very much to be considered "second" (as probably anyone in the World!), they want to be first, and fortunately fot them, it happens quite often in basketball and football, where Kaunas is always the best! ;-)
Thanks to our dear friend Remigia, we could see most of Kaunas in just that few time... maybe we didn't see everything, but that is a good excuse to come back! ;-) Thank you Remigia once again, you have been a GREAT guide through your town! |

HORSCHECK Fri Oct 19, 2007 22:28 UTC Carlo, fabulous page with brilliant photos of Kaunas. I pity I missed the Kauno Marios and I didn't relly see the smiling house. Where exactly is it? Have a lovely weekend. | ettenaj Thu Oct 19, 2006 15:30 UTC We saw the "smiley" face too | Paperina Thu Oct 14, 2004 23:23 UTC You discovered a lot on your short visit!
