Billings Travel Guide: 77 reviews and 92 photos
Billings is Montana's largest city. You can get there by flying into Billings airport (BIL) via several air carriers--Delta/SkyWest; United/ComAir; AmericaWest. After you arrive at the airport, the downtown area is just straight down the road into the valley.
The downtown area is undergoing redevelopment and revitalization. The heart of Downtown is at Second Avenue North and Broadway, where you will find cobblestone sidewalks, ironwork, flowers, trees and an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants. In one block, there was a small indepedent bookstore, Global Village (a shop that sells items made by native peoples all over the world, for fair market prices that go back to the artisans and craftspeople), a deli, a pub/microbrewery/casino, and western clothing store, an art gallery, and an new mixed-use historic preservation building that will include 18 units of affordable housing above the expanded pub and retail shops.
I didn't know what to expect on my first visit to this town, but it was a nice surprise! See my Restaurant Tips here--there are a few restaurants here that will rival any restaurants to be found in culinary capitals such as San Francisco, etc.
If you happen to traverse through Billings, you will be pleased.

I looked for a unique restaurant in Billings on VT around April 1st as we were going to be in town, and found none---too bad you hadn't written the Q Cuisine tip yet! I am looking forward to trying it! Thanks.
