KL-mad house, rat race Though KL, as any capital city, has the all, I never quite like the way it's being developed as it has turned out to be much like big American cities. However, if you look for it, you will still find some old-world charms in the nooks and cranies of its old Chinatown (Petaling Street) area. |
The foundation of the city - X marks the spot Kuala Lumpur literally means muddy river mouth. Though situated not quite at the mouth of River Klang, it is established right at the confluence of the River Gombak, a tributary and River Klang, marked by the turn of the last century open air Indian Muslim mosque, Masjid Jamek. It is very near Central Market and KL's Chinatown. There's a huge LRT interchange there. |
