Sites and sounds

Khabarovsk is a large city of 700,000, but it has a small town feel to it. I have had the opportunity to know many of the people there and the market vendors are friendly. I love the fountain at Lenin square. In the Spring and Summer, it is a great place to sit and observe the locals and on Saturdays it is very usual to see newly weds wander through the square celebrating their special day with the community.

Pros:Nice things to do, good shopping in the markets
Cons:Harsh life, VERY cold winters
