muelheim is the city where i grow up. the town is part of the "ruhrpott". in about 5 minutes you can be in three other towns (oberhausen, essen and duisburg). in this congested urban area there is a lot to see. i think that w is the season why i have never moved to another city. in muelheim you can live in a small town with the benefits of a large city. over 5.3 million people live in the "ruhrpott" (more than in our capital city berlin with about 3.4 citiziens) |
|  | green city on the river the cream of muelheim is the nature. there are a lot places for walking or cycling. the "ruhr" flows thru the city. there is a walking path next to the river where you can go (about 8 km) to "kettwig", a beautiful traditional part of essen. |
| | city center muelheim's city is not really famous for shopping. but there are a few shops on the schlossstrasse (pedestrian zone) and the backstreets. on the end there is the "forum", a small shopping mall. |
