This was the bit that my brother the wine buff was really dying to see. Montalcino is in the middle of wine country and is famous for its creations. Chris ended up buying multiple bottles of wine here and carefully packing them for the trip home. I've lots of photos of Montalcino but most of them have not gone through the tweaking process yet, so they haven't been uploaded. I have to admit it was a gorgeous town, even if I did honestly think we were going to crash our car off of the unlit steep dirt path of a road when we tried to drive into town late in the evening.

Naturally we found the main paved route when it was time to leave. I think we came up a farmer's path or something. My gran and I were both terrified, I think Chris was too busy driving to be scared. Or to show it.
