Can't get enough of Venice I really loved Venice. REALLY loved it. I have no idea why - we only had a day there, and quite a lot of the island seemed to be resigned to tourist shopping, but I couldn't get enough of the place. My brother liked it too, but I think his main draw was the "Ah, Venice!" reaction of Indiana Jones in one of the movies. |
High Water Zones At the ferry docks there were maps showing the areas of Venice that would flood at high tides, so you knew how to get where you needed to go. What an amazing concept, to be regularly diverted by new waterways. We didn't see any flooded areas ourselves, but we probably weren't there at a high tide. |
Scary clown! American culture has found its way to Venice...but does anyone else find ol' Ronald here a bit freaky? Maybe it was the lighting... |
