Just passed through the town of Mamou, but it was extrememly busy with taxis going in and out! The pic was of the very scary vultures that wait around for road kill!

This is just one of the things you might see on your way to Mamou or beyond! We were doing about 50MPH and this guy was holding on like this for miles!!!

Peace Corps Memorial

This is a memorial to a couple of Peace Corps kids that were killed in a taxi accident. It is just outside the town and you can read all about the two boys that died!
I actually know one of the guys that was friends with them and he was telling me he was sharing a taxi with them until Mamou and then he took another one because of price to the next area... VERY LUCKY!!!
