Such a heavy and historical environment with such light hearted and vibrant people!
I had my 2004 b'day in Budapest and it was most certainly a memorable one! I ran into a lot of Australian's and even a girl from Perth (where I lived for years) called Kerryn! What are the odds!
I did manage to enjoy a sausage festival, a viewing of the famous mummified Saints hand (a very odd, and unintended experience!) and lots and lots of walking through amazing architecture and landscapes. I would describe Budapest as a place on the edge, of what Im not sure, but which ever way its goes its taking some amazing history, divine architecture and strong people with it! |
