Nightlife Spot: Whiskey Sky

I had heard Whiskey Sky touted as one of the most romantic nightspots in the Vegas area. Had a hard time believing such a place could be in you know, Henderson! At a Station Casino no less.

Proved me wrong. Green Valley Ranch is breathtaking from the first view. And Whiskey Sky...I can not say anything bad about it. It's the perfect intimate spot if you want to relax and have a drink with your friends, or better yet, your love!

Wonderful retro-modern interior, beautiful fireplace, goregeous views of the Strip lights in the distance, comfy soas and chairs, and a big furry bed right in the middle. What's not to like? Friendly waitresses and bartenders, delicious drinks

Did I mention the bed? I like a bar I can kick my shoes off and get comfortable in!

Whiskey Sky gets two paws way up from me, I never go to Vegas without stopping in.

Nightlife Spot: House of Blues

I admit it. I grew up in the 80s. I like 80s music.

But I wasn't s top 40 kind of girl. I listened to The Cure and Depeche Mode and Sisters of Mercy a lot more than than Madonna or Culture Club. Therefore most 80s clubs are a letdown, because i don't hear the songs I grew up dancing to.

However, House of Blues' Flashback Friday nights have a good mixture of mainstream 80s mixed with what we'd now call alternative music. Kind of heavy on the rap and R&B, but overall I can't grumble too much.

There was a radio station that said if you showed up before 10 pm, they'd put you on the 'guestlist' for free admission. When I showed up at 9:45 and asked, the bouncers had never heard os such a thing, but gave use 4 free tickets anyhow. So it's worth a shot :)
