"Finding Pattaya" a Pattaya Travel Page by Hewer

I have passed through Thailand many times and I have often been asked "Have you ever been to Pattaya?". "No", I would always reply. I was staying in nearby Bang Saen for a week in May 2005 and decided to go and check it out for a day.

I think there must have been a U.S. warship in the harbour at the time because the place was full of servicemen. They all had found new friends and seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Pattaya was full of souvenir shops, go go bars, taxis and jewellery shops. I wasn't really in the mood for it I guess.

I still tell people I've never been there ;-)
