    • Food in Jordan is largely meat based, with lots of well cooked spit roasts. There are a lot of vegetarian alternatives, but you may find yourself enjoying a regular diet of chickpeas in some form or another, usually either houmous or falafel. The best thing to do is to order a bunch of starters (mezze), which usually offer a wide range of smaller meat free dishes for you to pick and choose from. One thing I found that was universally tasty in Jordan was the lentil soup.

    Overall Jordan's food was very good, and no problem for a vegetarian.

     I would omit the last sentance, as i'm 100% certain that Jordan is very secure and a lot of precaution measures are taken to keep everybody safe.
