Durban lies on the East coast of South Africa. It has an island atmosphere with all the palm trees and nice warm water. Even in winter Durban seldom gets cold. It is a very popular holiday destination for the July holidays. When it is icy in Gauteng and windy and wet in Cape town the holiday-makers swim on the east coast. Durban gets very humid and it is sometimes difficult to adjust to this if you are not used to it.
Make sure you drink lots of water. Tap water is safe but bottled water is available, everywhere. Doesn't matter how crowded or busy Durban always has a special vibe. |
