I sometimes forget how big Johannesburg really is. It's sad that such an energetic city with so much to offer is only known to most people as the city to avoid because of the crime. I'm not denying that crime is a problem but Johannesburg is so much more than the CBD and Hillbrow. There's Rosebank, Sandton, Fourways, too many to name them all.

I've been living 20 min away from Johannesburg all my life. This is where we went shopping, going to movies, going to theatre before the East Rand developed.

I still go to the theatre there, I shop for beads in Melville, I go to Montecasino for the atmosphere and great coffee shops, the Rosebank rooftop market for exiting crafts etc.

I go there all the time but never got around to build this page.

Until I joined Vt I never took a camera going to these obvious places.

At last I have some pic's and can do what I should have done long time ago.

    Interesting page = the lion reserve looks fascinating esp. petting the cubs = nice work

    Great Lion pictures- and while it is hard to say if the lions are happy or not- it is still a gene pool of lions, which we may need someday, and in the meantime it brings wildlife to people, hopefully pushing conservation up the agenda...
