Restaurant Name: Petena's
Graskop and Sabie seem to be the pancake mecca of the lowveld.
From previous travels I remembered Petena's and couldn't wait to get to Sabie for the pancake.s
(A pancake is a very popular south african dish. I know the French calls it crepe's. Pancakes are thicker and can be filled with any savoury or sweet filling. Traditionally it was eaten with cinnamon and sugar ) .
Nice big verandah. You don't want to sit inside except when the weather is very bad. Great view over the mountains.
Great service. Excellent food.
Favorite Dish: My alltime favourite is the asperagus and cheese sauce filling. The best.
Kids and hubby don't eat asperagus so they always have curry or chicken. Lovely.
It was great 5 years ago. It is still great.
