Kapalua is actually one big resort that includes the Ritz Carlton and a golf course that looks stunning! The area is beautiful and if you like to golf and have some cash to spend, stay in Kapalua, the scenery, landscaping and grounds are absolutely breathtaking!

I am going to include my information about the Napili area on my Kapalua page because VT does not have Napili listed as a location. Napili is about 1/4 mile from the Kapalua resort and they are one in the same as far as I'm concerned, location wise.

The drive past Kapalua Resort (West Maui) on is a beautiful scenic drive. The entire road is paved and it is not necessary to have a 4WD. The road does get a little hairy once the two lane road ends (my guess is about 10-15 miles into the drive), but we drove the full length of the road, with no problems. The photo to the right is a view of one of the villages we past along the way, absolutely breathtaking.

• Pros:Small little resort area, at the west end of Maui, quiet.
• Cons:None that I can find.
• In a nutshell:Nice beach (Kapalua Bay/Shores), clean and pretty.
