Darling Harbour / Cockle Bay / King St Wharf: Bungalow8
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Bungalow8

much more relaxed and less crowded Cargo Bar equivalent. perhaps has to do with the fact that it is located right at the end of King St wharf. great leather lounges and communal tables scatter the inside and outside. the moveable furniture ensures that no one night is ever the same in terms of set-up. mini stage with dj set or band churning out a mixture of dance, house, depending on the night. 20 to 30-something crowd
great loos with awesome basins =P gals, droolworthy eye candy behind the bar and on the prowl for empty glasses and used ashtrays hehe

Sydney City Bars / Clubs: Cargo Bar
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Cargo Bar

always seems to be packed. actually it is always packed! great music, funky vibe, and always a line for the womens loos =P been approached by drunken guys one too many times for comfort. watch out for short, balding man with bloodshot eyes who latches onto anyone of the opposite sex within latching distance begging for a dance. will not let go unless you dance with him. or do what i did and pass him off to a friend. or just kick him! =P music? top 40, rnb, house anything dance-worthy. where the 20-30 something kick/drink on late into the night!

Dress Code: smart. if your a guy, helps if your outnumbered by gals with you. more chance of getting into any club the more gals you have with you. funny that.

Sydney City Bars / Clubs: Bar333
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Bar333

pretty much always guaranteed a seat whether it be on their lounges or tables and chairs. lychee and guava daiquiris whether frozen or muddled a definate must. cocktails only served upstairs so best get a seat upstairs less you'll be trudging up and down all night. however, there are bar people on the prowl to take drink orders. very much convenient and welcome service.

sports bar downstairs with pool tables, upstairs the lounge and restaraunt with a mini dancefloor and dj set. mostly dance and house. great loos. love the tiles! the downstairs one however, is about 3 flights of stairs down so if your a bit tipsy, best avoid the downstairs loo hehe. cute barmen but what decent bar in sydney doesn't? 20 - 30 something crowd. friday nights a lot of corporate/office types as is any place friday night =P

Sydney City Bars / Clubs: Perfectly intimate
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Nightlife Spot: Iguana Bar

Small but intimate. Have a feed in the restaraunt in the front, perhaps a drink from the side bar and then head to the back for more drinks and perfect place to dance!

Apparently post-gig/show haunt for music big wigs. The signed photos on the wall says it all.

  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]

Not as didgy of late. Draws the crowds, seemingly always a queue in the early hours of the weekend. Pretty decent sized dance area upstairs and thats about all I'd go for. Chart hits.

Oxford Street / Paddington / Darlinghurst: Intimate vibes
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Nightlife Spot: Paddington Inn

Draws a funky crowd come the nightlife. Take a wander and you're bound to find a seat whether it be on the lounges or a side room with a chair and table set up.

Even on a day out shopping along Oxford, retreat here for a drink.

Given the grey and wet weather we're having here in Sydney at the moment - I don't blame you for heading off to Europe for a while...!
