I'm in a great area for exploring the outdoors, but unfortunately I haven't had time to do anything since arriving here. Hopefully, that will be corrected.

Thanks to Stephen-KarenConn (from whose webpage I got the idea), I've started counting the U.S. counties I've been to. I'm always up for a good map. I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse, but at the moment it's easier for me to make U.S. counties "blue" than for me to do the same for other countries, so it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Check out my map (which will be constantly changing, God willing).

I like traveling, but I prefer spending extended periods of time in particular locations. That way I don't feel like I have a duty to wake up every morning and go see something. I can interact more with the local culture. I do hope to settle down in one place one day, but I always want to travel. There are so many places I want to go to.

I've been pretty sedentary for the past couple of years. I'm a grad student, and I teach. So I never have time or money, and you need at least one or the other to travel. I can't wait to be on the go again.
